The spirit of hospitality and generosity is essential to our way of life, and we believe these acts of bringing people together for a meal can transform our world…one table at a time!
Thank you to all who have joined us at the Centreville Place: Café + Market table and welcomed us to the neighborhood! We acquired the café and started serving on November 1st, 2021. With the holidays right around the corner, we hit the ground running into Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day celebrations. We are so grateful to have been a part of your holiday feasts and daily celebrations as we near the end of our second year!
Throughout my life, I have always loved the splendor of bringing people together at the table. When I was younger, the dinner table was the most important place in the house. There were 12 kids in my family, so someone was always hungry! But, aside from being a space where we gathered to eat, our long dinner table was the place for conversations and learning social skills. I still remember seeing how extraordinarily I could set the table, carefully placing the utensils, and gathering some flowers for a centerpiece. It was all so simple, but it taught me about life's essentials. The dialogue and debate around the table were as filling as the meal. You would be quickly summoned if absent because there was no excuse for missing this daily ritual. Using our creativity and the best ingredients as close to the source to make a daily menu guides us today as it did then.
Whether the gathering is for two or two hundred, there is magic when people come together at the table over good food and conversation. In the changing ways of our world, I believe it could be an answer to bringing us closer together. In this endeavor, we are committed to supporting our local farms and are proud to serve the produce of Coverdale Farms, among others.
We invite you to join us whenever it fits your schedule. Have breakfast and lunch, stop by for Thursday Pizza Night, Friday Happiest Hours, or one of our unique dinner events. We have a full liquor license and will happily assist you in pairing something with your meal.
Our hours are Tuesday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; and we hope to open soon on Monday. We have made changes to the spaces--there is even an upper room available for private gatherings and meetings. We can prepare meals for you or gather items from our growing gourmet marketplace and figure out something for every appetite. Whatever your celebration, whether large or a party of one, let us know how we may be of service.
